ORDINANCE NO. 910629

 

Repealing section 26.302(g), Code of General Ordinances, entitled "Alarm user permit -- identification sticker" and eliminating the requirement that the chief of police provide an identification sticker with each security alarm permit issued.

WHEREAS, section 26.302(g) now requires the chief of police to provide an identification sticker with each security alarm permit issued, but that a person is not required to post that sticker; and

 

WHEREAS, experience with the enforcement of the security alarm ordinance has revealed that the sticker does not serve a purpose; and

 

WHEREAS, the chief of police has requested that section 26.302(g) be repealed; NOW, THEREFORE

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That section 26.302(g), Code of General Ordinances, entitled "Alarm user permit -- identification sticker" is repealed.
