ORDINANCE NO. 920560

Authorizing a $5,000.00 contract with the University of Kansas for Phase II of the Town of Kansas Project and directing the City Clerk to file certain documents with the appropriate offices.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Director of the Department of City Development is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the University of Kansas in the amount of $5,000.00 for Phase II of the Town of Kansas Archival and Archaeological Testing Project in order to conduct a ten-week field school in the Project area to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 100-064-2310-B. A copy of said contract in substantial form is attached hereto and made a part hereof.

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file copies of this ordinance together with the contract in the office of the Secretary of State and in the Department of Records of Jackson County, Missouri.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
