ORDINANCE NO. 900830

 

Authorizing a reciprocal agreement with Jackson County for prisoner housing and expenditure of funds therefor and directing the filing of said agreement with appropriate officials.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is authorized, on behalf of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, to enter into a reciprocal agreement with Jackson County for housing prisoners at the following rates through calendar year 1991:

 

Per diem per prisoner $15.00

 

State Highway Patrol arrestees $10.00 held less than 24 hours

 

Said agreement is hereby approved in substantial form as that attached hereto.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Neighborhood and Community Services is authorized to expend up to $1,000.00 in connection with this agreement, from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 001-57500-B.

 

Section 3. That the Director of Records is directed to file a copy of said agreement with the offices of the Secretary of State and Jackson County Recorder of Deeds as provided by Section 70.300, RSMo. 1986.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
