RESOLUTION NO. 010791

 

Honoring Lynn Vallentine Vall Bowman for his outstanding contributions and service to the Builders Association and the Citys Fairness in Construction Board.

 

WHEREAS, Lynn Vall Bowman has been an honorary member of the Builders Association since his retirement in 1990 from his family-owned company, Bowman Mechanical Contractors, Inc., which was established in 1904 by his father; and

 

WHEREAS, Vall attributes his success in the construction industry to his contacts and service at the Builders Association and other industry organizations including the Mechanical Contractors Association; and

 

WHEREAS, Vall has a strong belief in the importance of giving back to the construction community, so he readily accepted the appointment by Skip Hutton, President of the Builders Association, to represent the Association on the Kansas City, Missouri Fairness in Construction Board which he has served on since its beginning; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor Lynn Vallentine Vall Bowman for his outstanding contributions and service to the Builders Association and the Citys Fairness in Construction Board; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Lynn Vallentine Vall Bowman with the appreciation of the Mayor, Council and citizens of Kansas City for his commitment to the construction industry of Kansas City.
