ORDINANCE NO. 100719
Terminating the Baughman Road
Urban Renewal Plan for that area of approximately 5.530 acres generally located
at the southwest corner of N.W. Barry Road and N. Platte Purchase Drive, and
consenting to the termination of the plan and the release of the land use
restrictions within the plan; and directing the City Clerk to record documents
as necessary.
WHEREAS, by
passage of Ordinance No. 971274, passed October 16, 1997, the City Council
approved a general urban renewal plan for the Baughman Road Urban Renewal
Project; and
WHEREAS, the
Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri, did on June
23, 2010, adopt a Resolution No. 6-1-10 recommending approval of the Urban
Renewal Area to allow for the termination of the plan and
WHEREAS,
pursuant to Ordinance No. Committee Substitute 040590, passed on June 17, 2004,
it was determined that it was desirable and in the public interest that the Baughman
Road Urban Renewal Plan be modified to allow for the termination of the plan;
and
WHEREAS, the
Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority of Kansas City, Missouri executed
that certain Notice of Plan Termination ; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED
BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the Council hereby consents to the Notice of Plan Termination attached hereto
as Exhibit A, to be recorded with the Platte County Missouri Recorder’s Office.
Section 2. That
the Baughman Road Urban Renewal Plan shall be deemed terminated as to the
property more particularly described in the Notice of Plan Termination
Section 3. That
either the Director of City Development or the Director of Finance (or both)
are hereby authorized to execute and deliver any and all documents necessary to
effectuate the purposes of this Ordinance and the City Clerk is directed to
record such documents with the appropriate governmental offices as necessary.
