ORDINANCE NO. 090576

 

Authorizing execution of an Easement Conveyance with Kansas City Power and Light Company to enter upon lands of Kansas City to provide power to a Compressed Natural Gas facility on City-owned property at the Blue River Secondary Treatment Plant located at 7600 E. Front Street; and directing the City Clerk to record this ordinance in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri.

 

WHEREAS, an Easement Conveyance is needed to provide required power to run the new Compressed Natural Gas facility on City-owned land at the Blue River Secondary Treatment Plant, which is currently under construction by Foley Company; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of the Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute an Easement Conveyance for Kansas City Power and Light Company on City-owned property in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, said easement legally described as follows:

 

An Easement Tract being part of a land Parcel as described in Missouri Warranty Deed No. 1210940, Book No. I-595, Page No. 471, Dated May 5, 1975, in the Northwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 50 North, Range 32 West, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, being more particularly described as follows:

 

Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Northwest Quarter; then South 1 degree 55 minutes 27 seconds West, along the west line of said Northwest Quarter, a distance of 1,221.10 feet, to a point on the north right-of-way of Front Street; then along said north right-of-way South 87 degrees 41 minutes 03 seconds East, a distance of 357.45 feet, to the Southwest corner of said Parcel; then continuing South 87 degrees 41 minutes 03 seconds East, along the south line of said Parcel, a distance of 225.00 feet, to the Point of Beginning; then North 2 degrees 18 minutes 57 seconds East, a distance of 205.50 feet; then North 87 degrees 41 minutes 03 seconds West, a distance of 5.00 feet; then North 2 degrees 18 minutes 57 seconds East, a distance of 20.00 feet; then South 87 degrees 41 minutes 03 seconds East, a distance of 20.00 feet; then South 2 degrees 18 minutes 57 seconds West, a distance of 20.00 feet; then North 87 degrees 41 minutes 03 seconds West, a distance of 5.00 feet; then South 2 degrees 18 minutes 57 seconds West, a distance of 205.50 feet; then North 87 degrees 41 minutes 03 seconds West, a distance of 10.00 feet, to the Point of Beginning. Containing 0.0564 Acres more or less.

 

Section 2. That upon the effective date of this Ordinance and execution of the Easement Conveyance, the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, Missouri.
