Accepting and approving a $211,190.00 contract for one year with the Missouri Department of Health for the City to provide assistance with State requests for response on environmental health, communicable diseases, chronic diseases, or sanitation emergencies.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. Accepting and approving a contract between the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, acting through its Director of Health, and the Missouri Department of Health, acting through its Director of Health, whereby the City will provide assistance with State requests for response on environmental health, communicable diseases, chronic diseases, or sanitation emergencies within its jurisdiction for the period of one year beginning July 1, 1995 to June 30, 1996, for which the State will provide funding in the amount of $211,190.00. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
