RESOLUTION NO. 121059

 

Honoring Eugene Graves on his retirement after 26 years of dedicated service to the City of Kansas City, Missouri, as an employee of the Public Works Department.

 

WHEREAS, Eugene Graves was hired on July 17, 1986, and has served the citizen’s of Kansas City for over 26 years as a member of Solid Waste in the Public Works Department; and

 

WHEREAS, as a Public Works employee, Eugene has served as a maintenance worker, equipment operator and ends his career as a general supervisor; and

 

WHEREAS, Eugene is well known for his cooking skills and remains an avid Chiefs’ fan; and

 

WHEREAS, Eugene’s professionalism will be sorely missed by management and his fellow Solid Waste colleagues; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby extend to Eugene Graves, on the occasion of his retirement from City service, the heartiest best wishes for his future, together with appreciation for his 26 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Eugene Graves in token of the Mayor and Council’s respect and high regard for him and their best wishes for the long and happy retirement which he so richly deserves.
