ORDINANCE NO. 041356

 

Increasing an appropriation in the amount of $117,714.00 and recognizing an emergency.

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 041279 approved a contract amendment between the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and the City of Kansas City, Missouri to fund a patient medical records database for a sexually transmitted disease control program; and

 

WHEREAS, the effective date of the amendment was November 18, 2004; and

 

WHEREAS, funds need to be appropriated to carry out this charge; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the sum of $117,714.00 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Governmental Grants Fund, No. 2480, to the following accounts:

05-2480-502409-C Venereal Disease Control $102,714.00

05-2480-502409-E Venereal Disease Control 15,000.00

TOTAL $117,714.00

Section 2. That this ordinance, making provisions for the expenditure of funds in connections with the preservation of the public health, is hereby recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Article II, Sections 15 of the Charter of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
