RESOLUTION NO. 011345

 

Congratulating Randy Bennett on being named Paramedic of the Year.

 

WHEREAS, the Emergency Providers, Inc. (EPI), the operations contractor for the Metropolitan Ambulance Services Trust, announced that the Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association has chosen to recognize Randy Bennett of Kansas City, Missouri, as Paramedic of the Year; and

 

WHEREAS, Randy Bennett has been employed by EPI for 12 years and has served as an emergency medical technician, a paramedic, a systems status controller and a paramedic preceptor before his recent promotion to field supervisor in the Kansas Division; and

 

WHEREAS, Randy moved to Kansas City in 1987 and enrolled in the Medical Center of Independences paramedic course and then became a paramedic in April, 1988; and

 

WHEREAS, Randy is an Instructor in Basic Life Support, Basic Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support; and

 

WHEREAS, Randy has also received the EPIs Missouri Paramedic of the Year in 2000 and Stars of Life award from Washington, D.C. in May, 2001; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby congratulate Randy Bennett on being named Paramedic of the Year; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Randy Bennett with the appreciation of the Mayor, Council and citizens of Kansas City for a job well done and for serving all citizens of the metropolitan area to the best of his ability.
