COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 120534

 

Authorizing the Director of General Services Department to enter into a Management Agreement with the American Jazz Museum, in the amount of $647,363.00, from the American Jazz Museum account, for management and operations of the 18th and Vine Project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of General Services Department is hereby authorized to execute a Management Agreement, on behalf of the City, with the American Jazz Museum, in the amount of $647,363.00, to provide funds for management of the 18th and Vine Project from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 13-1000-071716-B, American Jazz Museum, for the period from May 1, 2012 to April 30, 2013, and that the Assistant City Manager of General Services is designated as requisitioning authority for Account No. 13-1000-071716-B. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
