RESOLUTION NO. 961173

 

Declaring it to be necessary to change and reestablish the grade on certain portions of N. Oak Trafficway from N. Locust Drive to N.E. 85th Terrace; N.E. 90th Terrace from N. Oak Trafficway to a point 220 feet east; N.E. 88th Street from N. Oak Trafficway to a point 185 feet west; N.E. 88th Terrace from N. Oak Trafficway to a point 145 feet west; N. Oak Frontage Road from N.E. 88th Terrace to a point 118.63 feet north, all being in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Council finds and declares it to be necessary to change and reestablish the grade on certain portions of N. Oak Trafficway from N. Locust Drive to N.E. 85th Terrace; N.E. 90th Terrace from a point 50 feet east of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway to a point 220 feet east of said centerline; N.E. 88th Street from a point 50 feet west of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway to a point 185 feet west of said centerline; N.E. 88th Terrace from a point 50 feet west of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway to a point 145 feet west of said centerline; N. Oak Frontage Road from a point 25 feet north of the centerline of N.E. 88th Terrace to a point 118.63 feet north of said centerline; all being in Kansas City, Clay County, Missouri, in accordance with the provisions of Section 224, Article VII of the Charter of Kansas City, and as shown on the plans on file in the office of the Director of Public Works, locating and defining the adjacent grade points on said streets, on the centerline of the roadways, which shall be connected by straight grades (tangents) or vertical curves between such grade points, the elevation of which are herein given in feet above the City Directrix as follows, to-wit:

 

N. Oak Trafficway

North of Missouri State Highway 152

 

Elevation

 

At a point 714.82 feet north of the north line of Section 2-51-33. 292.75

 

At a point 454.82 feet north of the north line of Section 2-51-33. 304.40

 

At a point 194.82 feet north of the north line of Section 2-51-33. 294.78

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 454.82 feet north of the north line of Section 2-51-33 shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 260 feet in length.

 

South of Missouri State Highway 152

 

At a point 3,602.18 feet south of the north line of Section 2-51-33. 220.17

 

At a point 3,702.18 feet south of the north line of Section 2-51-33. 220.37

 

At a point 4,982.18 feet south of the north line of Section 2-51-33. 292.20

 

Except that the grade planes meeting a point 3,702.18 feet south of the north line of Section 2-51-33 shall be connected by a vertical curve having a back tangent of 100 feet in length and a forward tangent of 220 feet in length.

 

At a point 6,252.18 feet south of the north line of Section 2-51-33. 232.70

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 4,982.18 feet south of the north line of Section 2-51-33 shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 315 feet in length.

 

At a point 6,797.98 feet south of the north line of Section 2-51-33. 262.35

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 6,252.18 feet south of the north line of Section 2-51-33 shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 350 feet in length.

 

N.E. 90th Terrace

 

At a point 50 feet east of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway 221.58

At a point 188 feet east of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway 230.66

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 80 feet east of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 25 feet in length.

 

At a point 220 feet east of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway 231.07

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 188 feet east of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway shall be connected by a vertical curve having a back tangent of 83 feet in length and a forward tangent of 32 feet in length.

 

N.E. 88th Street

 

At a point 50 feet west of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway. 282.35

 

At a point 125 feet west of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway. 286.20

 

At a point 185 feet west of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway. 285.10

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 125 feet west of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 60 feet in length.

 

N.E. 88th Terrace

Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 105 feet west of the centerline of N. Oak Trafficway shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 40 feet in length.

 

N. Oak Frontage Road

 

At a point 25 feet north of the centerline of N.E. 88th Terrace. 280.58

 

At a point 68.63 feet north of the centerline of N.E. 88th Terrace. 279.71

 

At a point 118.63 feet north of the centerline of N.E. 88th Terrace. 275.96

 

Except that the grade planes meeting at a point 68.63 feet north of the centerline of N.E. 88th Terrace shall be connected by a vertical curve having tangents 50 feet in length.

 

This resolution is recommended for approval by the Director of Public Works.
