Authorizing execution of a
Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Agreement with the Missouri Highway and
Transportation Commission, Grant Number CMAQ 3376 (404), for the construction
of 19 miles of on-street bike facilities along Paseo Boulevard from
Independence Ave. to 85th Street: estimating revenue in the amount of
$727,800.00 in the Capital Improvements Sales Tax Fund; appropriating that
amount to the Paseo Boulevard Bikeways account; and directing the City Clerk to
file certain documents with the appropriate offices.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That
the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to enter into a Congestion
Mitigation and Air Quality Agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation
Commission to assist in the construction of a 19 mile on-street bike facility
along Paseo Boulevard from Independence Ave. to 85th Street, Project No. CMAQ
3376 (404). A copy of the Program Agreement is
on file in the office of the Director of Public Works.
Section 2. That
the revenue in the following accounts of the Capital Improvements Sales Tax
Fund is hereby estimated in the following amounts:
17-3090-890001-476475-89020302 Paseo
Boulevard Bikeways Grant $727,800.00
Section 3. That
the sum of $727,800.00 is hereby appropriated to the Capital Improvements Sales
Tax Fund to the following accounts:
17-3090-898017-B-89020302
Paseo Boulevard Bikeways $727,800.00
Section 4. That
the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a copy of the ordinance, together
with the Program Agreement with the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson
County, Missouri, and with the Secretary of the State of Missouri.
Section 5. That the Director of Public Works is
hereby designated requisitioning authority for Account No.
17-3090-898017-89020302.
