ORDINANCE NO. 120170

 

Authorizing an agreement with H W Lochner, Inc., for services for the Red Bridge Road project; and recognizing an emergency.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Capital Projects Department is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a $263,408.00 Amendment No. 7 to an agreement with H W Lochner, Inc., for construction phase services for Project No. 890B8054 - Red Bridge Road Phase 1 from Holmes Road to Blue River Road, and for engineering design services for Project No. 890C8054 - Red Bridge Road Phase 2 from Blue River Road to Montgall; in Kansas City, Missouri, Jackson County, Council District 6. A copy of the amendment is on file in the Capital Projects Department.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Capital Projects Department is authorized to expend the sum of $263,408.00 from funds previously appropriated to the following accounts:

 

12-3090-878016-B-890B8054 Red Bridge Phase 1 $165,000.00

12-3090-878601-B-890C8054 Red Bridge Phase 2 98,408.00

TOTAL $263,408.00

 

Section 3. That this ordinance, relating to the design, repair, maintenance or construction of a public improvement, is recognized as an emergency measure within the provisions of Section 503 of the City Charter and shall take effect in accordance with that section.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
