ORDINANCE NO. 050940

Authorizing a one year $745,000.00 contract with SAVE, Inc. to provide housing assistance for low -income persons living with HIV/AIDS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That an agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and SAVE, Inc., acting through its Executive Director, whereby SAVE will provide housing assistance for low-income residents living with HIV/AIDS in Kansas Citys Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA) for the period of July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006, for an amount not to exceed $745,000.00 to be paid from funds previously appropriated in Account No. 06-2740-505004-B, is hereby authorized. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
