ORDINANCE NO. 190585

 

Authorizing the Director of General Services to execute a lease agreement with Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City for 1518 East 18th Street in the 18th and Vine Historic District; and authorizing the Director of General Services to provide funding for tenant finish improvements not to exceed the amount of $50,000.00.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of General Services Department is authorized to execute a lease agreement with Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City of the City-owned premises located at 1518 East 18th Street, Kansas City, Missouri, in substantial form to that on file in the General Services Department, to be used for office, meeting and training space for its Opportunity Hub/KC-UP and Minority Business Accelerator. The initial lease term shall be one year and one month, with a two-year renewal option.

 

Section 2. That the Director of General Services Department is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $50,000.00 from funds previously appropriated from Account No. AL-3436-648043-B-64017101, 18th and Vine for Tenant Improvements.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
