ORDINANCE NO. 190163

 

Authorizing the Director of General Services to execute a Second Amendment to the current lease agreement with MWT Bulk Services, LLC, for City-owned property located at 1518 Woodswether Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64105, reducing the lease area and rent and replacing the term of the lease with a new five-year term ending on December 31, 2023.

 

WHEREAS, the parties entered into a Lease Agreement, dated June 1, 2000, for City-owned real estate located in the vicinity of State Street and Woodswether Road in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri and Kansas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas for twenty-year term ending December 31, 2020; and

 

WHEREAS, the Lease was approved by Ordinance No. 001060, passed on August 10, 2000; and

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 030654, passed June 12, 2003, which was amended by Ordinance No. 031086, passed October 2, 2003, authorized the execution of an Assignment and Assumption Agreement with MWT Bulk Services, LLC; and

 

WHEREAS, the First Amendment to Lease Agreement, amending Section 31 of the Lease, was made December 17, 2012; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of General Services Department is authorized to execute a Second Amendment to the current lease agreement with MWT Bulk Services, LLC, for City-owned property located at 1518 Woodswether Road, reducing the lease area and rent and replacing the term of the lease with a new five-year term ending on December 31, 2023. Copies of the lease agreement and amendments are on file in the General Services Department.
