ORDINANCE NO. 921065

 

Authorizing an agreement with the United States Corps of Engineers relating to modification of the contract for them to conduct a flood damage reduction feasibility study of the Turkey Creek Basin in the Southwest Boulevard area to increase the contract scope and increase Kansas City's remaining contribution to $382,000.00 with $150,000.00 to be expended from funds appropriated to Account No. 309-089-7203-T.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the attached amendment to the agreement with the United States of America, through its Corps of Engineers, relating to a flood damage reduction feasibility study in Kansas City, Missouri, Project No. 3209, is hereby provided for and authorized. A copy of the said amendment is attached and is hereby incorporated herein by reference.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $150,000.00 from funds heretofore appropriated to Account No. 309-089-7203-T as and for the City's fiscal year 92/93 share of the cost of the aforesaid feasibility study.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
