ORDINANCE NO. 960229

 

Reestimating and appropriating the sum of $212,175.00 to the Home Weatherization - Gas Service account and authorizing the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the Southern Union Company for implementation of an experimental residential weatherization program.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the revenue in the following account of the General Fund is hereby reestimated in the following additional amount:

 

96-100-055-8054 Contract-Gas Service $212,175.00

 

Section 2. That the sum of $212,175.00 is hereby appropriated to the following account in the General Fund:

 

96-100-055-2360-B Home Weatherization-Gas Service $212,175.00

 

Section 3. That the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development is hereby authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Southern Union Company d/b/a Missouri Gas Energy to implement an experimental residential weatherization program. A copy of the contract, in substantial form, is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
