Rezoning an area of approximately
7.5 acres in an area north of Valentine Road and Jefferson Street from District
R-5 to District R-6. (14275-P)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section A. That
Chapter 88, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly
known as the Zoning and Development Code, is hereby amended by enacting a new
section to be known as Section 88-20A912, rezoning an area of approximately 7.5
acre generally bounded by Valentine Road on the south, the west side of
Pennsylvania Avenue north to and including 3530, 3528 and 3526 Pennsylvania
Avenue, the east side of Jefferson Street north to and including 3523 Jefferson
Street, and the west side of Jefferson Street north to and including 3600
Jefferson Street, from District R-5 (Residential-5) to District R-6 (Residential-6),
said section to read as follows:

and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps
constituting a part of said chapter and in accordance with Section 88-20
thereof.
Section B. That
application fees for certificates of legal nonconformance for legally
established uses made nonconforming by this ordinance shall be waived, provided
any such application is properly submitted to the City within one year of
the effective date of this ordinance.
Section C. That the Council finds and declares
that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public
notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
