Approving a $95,356.00 contract with William A. Gamble for state legislative consultant services for 1997.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a $95,356.00 contract on behalf of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, with William A. Gamble for state legislative consultant services on City related matters from funds previously herein appropriated to Account No. 97-100-001-1010-B, City Council, for the period from January 1, 1997 through December 31, 1997. Said contract shall substantially conform to the contract attached to this ordinance, and made a part hereof by reference.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
