ORDINANCE NO. 961202

Authorizing an eight month $39,000.00 agreement with the Kansas City Free Health Clinic, Inc., to provide case management services for persons living with HIV/AIDS and authorizing the Director of Health to amend the contract by up to $20,000.00 without Council approval.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That an agreement between Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, acting through its Director of Health, and the Kansas City Free Health Clinic, Inc., acting through its officer of executory authority, to provide case management services for persons living with HIV/AIDS for the period of August 1, 1996 through March 31, 1997, for an amount not to exceed $39,000.00 from funds previously approved in Ordinance No. 950714 in Account No. 97-100-050-2421-B, is hereby authorized. A copy of the agreement, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.

Section 2. That the Director of Health is authorized to amend the agreement without Council approval. Contract amendments cannot exceed $20,000.00.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
