ORDINANCE NO. 051064

 

Rezoning approximately 3.1 acres generally located on the south side of 87th Street, approximately 2,320 feet west of Denver Avenue, from District URD to District RA. (10390-P-7)

 

 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0646, rezoning an area of approximately 3.1 acres generally located on the south side of 87th Street, approximately 2,320 feet west of Denver Avenue, from District URD (Urban Redevelopment District) to District RA (Agricultural), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0646. That an area legally described as:

 

A portion of Section 23 in Township 48 North, Range 33 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 23; thence North 022418 East along the West line of the Northwest Corner of Said Section 23, a distance of 460.18 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence continuing along said West line, North 022418 East; a distance of 27.95 feet to a point on the existing Southerly right of way line of 87th street; thence generally Eastwardly along said Southerly right of way line, the following courses and distances, more or less; thence South 571301 East, a distance of 194.06 feet; thence South 575339 East, a distance of 34.72 feet; thence South 555719 East, 18.63 feet; thence along a curve to the left, having an initial tangent bearing of the last described course, a radius of 423.06 feet and a central angle of 5114'14", an arc length of 378.32 feet; thence North 713159 East, a distance of 190.26 feet; thence South 190217 East, 60.00 feet; thence along a curve to the right, having an initial tangent bearing of North 713204 East, a radius of 93.19 feet and a central angle of 833145, an arc length of 135.86 feet; thence South 245601 East, a distance of 50.00 feet; thence North 650359 East, a distance of 60.00 feet; thence South 245601 East, a distance of 171.00 feet; thence on a curve to the left, having an initial tangent bearing of the last described course, a radius of 327.94 feet, and a central angle of 130121, an arc length of 74.54 feet to a point on the proposed Southerly right of way line of 87th street; thence generally Westward along said right of way line, the following courses and distances, more or less; thence along a curve to the right, having an initial tangent bearing of North 814627 West, a radius of 2,365.00 feet and a central angle of 215950, an arc distance of 907.97 feet; thence South 624058 West, a distance of 116.13 feet; thence North 274041 West, a distance of 96.31 feet; thence North 624058 East, a distance of 58.60 feet; thence North 572310 West, a distance of 147.97 feet to the point of beginning, said tract containing 3.1 acres, more or less.

 

is hereby rezoned from District URD (Urban Redevelopment District) to District RA (Agricultural) all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0646, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
