ORDINANCE NO. 920070

Authorizing the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners to enter into an agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission whereby the City will lease from the State of Missouri a portion of the right of way of Interstate 70 between Benton Boulevard and Indiana Avenue and between 13th and 15th Streets for ten years beginning January 1, 1992 for One Dollar for use as a park known as Freeway Park.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners is hereby authorized on behalf of the City to enter into an agreement with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission whereby the City will lease from the State of Missouri a portion of the right of way of Interstate 70 between Benton Boulevard and Indiana Avenue and between 13th and 15th Streets for ten years beginning January 1, 1992, for One Dollar for use as a park known as Freeway Park. A copy of the agreement containing a more specific description of the herein described property is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference.
