ORDINANCE NO. 910635
Approving a cooperative agreement with Platte City
Special Road District for installation of asphalt overlay at a cost to Kansas
City of $30,000.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section 1. That the Director of Public Works is
hereby authorized to execute a cooperative agreement with the Platte City
Special Road District providing for installation of an asphalt overlay to
improve the driving surface of certain streets and for a contribution by Kansas
City of $30,000.00. The said contract shall be essentially in the form which
is attached hereto and incorporated hereby by reference.
Section 2. That the Director of Public Works is
hereby authorized to expend the sum of $33,000.00 from funds heretofore
appropriated to Account No. 6-40503B, Street Maintenance and Cleaning, as and
for consideration on the said contract and for related contingencies.
Section 3. That directly after the effective date
of this ordinance, the City Clerk shall cause a copy of the executed contract
to be recorded in Jackson County and to be filed with the Secretary of State,
all in accordance with Section 70.300 RSMo.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise
unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing
expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in
the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each
sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
