ORDINANCE NO. 140280

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services to enter into a $1,960,000.00 construction contract with Gunter Construction Company for the Concrete Rehabilitation at the Water Treatment Plant and Intake – Phase V project.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services Department is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of Kansas City, Contract No. 8972, Project No. 80001500, with Gunter Construction Company, in the amount of $1,960,000.00 for the Concrete Rehabilitation at the Water Treatment Plant and Intake – Phase V project located in Clay County, Kansas City, Missouri.  A copy of the contract is on file in the Office of the Director of the Water Services Department.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is authorized to expend up to the sum of $2,150,000.00, from Account AL-8073-807714-B-611060, Treatment Facilities, to satisfy the costs of this project.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
