ORDINANCE NO. 120038

 

Authorizing the Director of Water Services to execute a Design Agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers relating to the East Bottoms Levee Reconstruction; and authorizing the expenditure of $119,000.00 for the City's share of the Agreement.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That the Director of Water Services is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of Kansas City, a design agreement between the Department of the Army and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, for design for the East Bottoms Levee Reconstruction Project in the amount of $476,000.00.

 

Section 2. That the Director of Water Services is further authorized to expend the sum of $119,000.00 for the project representing Kansas City’s share of the cost of this Agreement from Account No. 12-3090-808052-B-82000037, Seven Levees.

I herby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
