Amending Ordinance No. 900320 by repealing Section One thereof and enacting in lieu thereof a new Section One, correcting the name of the contractor.

WHEREAS, the Council passed Ordinance No. 900320, approving a $10,000.00 contract with the Ethnic Enrichment Commission for the presentation of the Ethnic Enrichment Festival on August 17, 18 and 19, 1990; and

WHEREAS, the Ethnic Enrichment Festival was presented by a coalition of ethnic organizations including the Heart of America Indian Center; and

WHEREAS, although the intended recipient of the funds for the festival was the Heart of America Indian Center, the Ethnic Enrichment Commission was erroneously named as the contractor in the ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section A. That Ordinance No. 900320 is amended by repealing Section One thereof and enacting a new Section One to read as follows:

Section 1. That the Director of Neighborhood and

Community Services is authorized to execute a contract in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 with the Heart of America Indian Center, Inc. for the presentation of the Ethnic Enrichment Festival from funds previously appropriated in Activity No. 035-95318 (Neighborhood Tourist Development City Wide Funds). The contract is approved in substantial form as that attached hereto.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
