ORDINANCE NO. 041011
Approving
the sale of property at 4012 East 10th Street; authorizing the Director of
Finance to execute a deed therefore; and directing the City Clerk to file
certain documents with the appropriate offices.
WHEREAS,
Resolution No. 040510 passed May 13, 2004, declared the property in excess to
the Citys needs for public use and authorized the sale by competitive bids;
and
WHEREAS, the
City by that competitive bid process, received a bid from Rock Solid Urban
Impact, Inc., a Missouri not-for-profit 501 tax exempt Urban Development
Corporation, who offered $20,000.00 for the property, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE
IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
Section
1. That the Council hereby accepts the bid from Rock Solid Urban Impact, Inc.,
a Missouri not-for-profit 501 tax exempt Urban Development Corporation, for the
property in the amount of $20,000.00 for the property located at 4012 East 10th
Street, a/k/a Lykins Multi Purpose Center and approves the sale of the property
to them and hereby authorizes the Director of Finance to execute a Special
Warranty Deed conveying the property. The legal description of the property is
described as:
All of Lots 14 through 18, both inclusive, and the
east 8 feet of Lot 13, of Ellerslie Place Addition, a subdivision of land in
Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, and all of Lot 4, Block 1 of Hoffmans
Park Addition, a subdivision of land in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri,
except that part of said Lot 4, Block 1, lying easterly of the following
described line: Beginning at a point on the south line of said Lot 4, Block 1,
that is 125.00 feet west of the southeast corner thereof; thence north parallel
with the east line of said Lot 4, a distance of 31.36 feet; thence west a
distance of 4.00 feet; thence north parallel with the east line of said Lot 4 a
distance of 63.30 feet to a point on the north line of said Lot 4, which is
129.00 feet west of the northeast corner thereof. Subject to easements,
restrictions, and rights-of-way of record, if any.
Section
2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to record a copy of this ordinance
in the office of the Recorder of Deeds for Jackson County, at Kansas City,
Missouri, as evidence of the sale of the herein described property by the City.
