ORDINANCE NO. 060567

 

Authorizing a one year lease agreement with the Black Economic Union of Greater Kansas City, Inc., for a lease in the amount of $105,171.00 for administrative offices for the Small Business Development Office for property located at 1601 E. 18th Street, Suite 209, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to execute, on behalf of the City, a lease agreement with the Black Economic Union of Greater Kansas City, Inc., for twelve months beginning June 1, 2006, for approximately 9,561 square feet of net rentable floor space located at 1601 E. 18th Street, Suite 209, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, at a rate of $105,171.00 annually or $8,764.25 monthly, to be paid from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 07-2670-105300 B. A copy of the lease agreement, in substantial form is attached hereto and is hereby approved.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
