RESOLUTION NO. 080639

 

Honoring Sharon R. Ramsey on her retirement from the City after 29 years 5 months of service.

 

WHEREAS, Sharon R. Ramsey has announced her retirement from the City of Kansas City, Missouri, effective June 30, 2008, having served faithfully for 29 years and 5 months; and

 

WHEREAS, Sharon was raised in Kansas City, Missouri, and attended Elementary and High School in the Kansas City School District, and Penn Valley Community College; and

 

WHEREAS, Sharon Ramsey is a single mother of three wonderful children and has six lovely grandchildren; and

 

WHEREAS, Sharons first date of employment was January 3, 1979 with the Community Services Department, Linwood Multi-Purpose Center, 3200 Wayne (now known as the Mohart Center) and the Public Works Department in the Solid Waste Division; and

 

WHEREAS, Sharon Ramsey has provided excellent service to the citizens of Kansas City, Missouri and to her co-workers; and

WHEREAS, Sharon has worked with Youth and Community Organizations, and with the Board of Elections Commission prior to her employment with the City of Kansas City Missouri. Sharons accomplishments are with the City; NOW, THEREFORE,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

That the Mayor and Council hereby honor Sharon R. Ramsey on her retirement from the City after 29 years 5 months of service; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread upon the Minutes of the Council in testimony thereof and that a copy hereof be presented to Sharon R. Ramsey in recognition of her splendid service to the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and its citizens.
