Authorizing the settlement of Case No. CV96-1329-CV-W-9 in the U.S. District Court.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

Section 1. The Acting City Attorney is hereby authorized to enter into a settlement agreement in Case No. 96-1329-CV-W-9, U.S. District Court, Western District.

Section 2. The Acting City Attorney is hereby authorized to expend $37,120.00 from Account No. 98-701-013-1543-B to satisfy the City's obligations in connection therewith.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
