ORDINANCE NO. 180960

 

Accepting and approving a $286,571.00 grant award from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide employment assistance services to qualified residents.

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section 1. That a one-year grant award agreement between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, acting through its Director of Health, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Division of the Health Resources Administration (“HRSA”), whereby the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will provide employment assistance services for persons living with HIV/AIDS as part of the current transitional housing program for the period beginning September 30, 2018 through September 29, 2019, for a total amount not to exceed $286,571.00, is hereby accepted and approved. A copy of the award, in substantial form, is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference

 

Section 2. That the Director of Health is hereby authorized to expend the sum of $222,810.00 from funds previously appropriated to Account No. 19-2730-505005-G50500519.

I hereby certify that there is a balance, otherwise unencumbered, to the credit of the appropriation to which the foregoing expenditure is to be charged, and a cash balance, otherwise unencumbered, in the treasury, to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be made, each sufficient to meet the obligation hereby incurred.
