RESOLUTION NO. 941498

Expressing the intent of the Council to develop a method to finance and construct improvements to N. Chatham Avenue in the vicinity of N.W. 64th Street and Highway 45.

WHEREAS, certain commercial development has been proposed along N. Chatham Avenue; and

WHEREAS, such commercial development is anticipated to generate substantial additional sales tax revenue for the City; and

WHEREAS, certain public improvements are necessitated for the purpose of fully enhancing the anticipated commercial development along N. Chatham Avenue; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

That the City Council hereby expresses its intent to develop a method of financing through additional sales tax revenue, including public/private partnership, for construction of improvements to N. Chatham Avenue in the vicinity of 64th Street and Highway 45.
