ORDINANCE NO. 091007

 

Rezoning an area of approximately 13 1/2 acres generally located on the west side of Bennington Avenue at E. 55th from District R-1a to District RA. (14079-P)

 

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:

 

Section A. That Chapter 80, Code of Ordinances of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, commonly known as the Zoning Ordinance, is hereby amended by enacting a new section to be known as Section 80-11A0857, rezoning an area of approximately 13 1/2 acres generally located on the west side of Bennington Avenue at E. 55th from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings, Medium Density) to District RA (Agricultural), said section to read as follows:

 

Section 80-11A0857. That an area legally described as:

 

Beginning at a point on the southeast corner of the southeast 1/4 of the northwest 1/4 of Section 36, Township 49, Range 33, thence west 550 feet, thence north 396 feet, thence east 550 feet, then south 396 feet to the point of beginning together with approx. 8 1/2 acres beginning at a point 550 feet west of the southeast corner of the said southeast 1/4 of the northwest 1/4, thence north 481.8 feet, thence west 770 feet to the west line of said 1/4 1/4 section, thence south 481.8 feet, thence east 770 feet to the point of beginning.

 

is hereby rezoned from District R-1a (One-Family Dwellings, Medium Density) to District RA (Agricultural), all as shown outlined on a map marked Section 80-11A0857, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and which is hereby adopted as a part of an amendment to the zoning maps constituting a part of said chapter and as an amendment to Section 80-11 thereof.

 

Section B. That the Council finds and declares that before taking any action on the proposed amendment hereinabove, all public notices and hearings required by the Zoning Ordinance have been given and had.
