Description: To serve as a reliable community resource and a center for intellectual freedom serving primarily the residents of the KCPL District and secondarily the residents of the metropolitan area by acquiring, organizing and disseminating books, non-print materials, and services that help educate, enrich, entertain, and inform. APPOINTMENT PROCESS: Mayor makes 7 appointments of citizens living in the boundaries of the Kansas City, Missouri School District. NUMBER OF CITY MEMBERS: 7 TERM: 3 years
